Sorin Kalos

Sorin is a drow; when an actual DnD character from Faerún, he's a surface-born Seladrine drow.
His parents left the Underdark - his father because he realized his magical research won't get him recognition, and her mother, because she was fed up with being a Lolth priestess, so she converted to Eilistrae's faith ASAP.
Sorin also has a sister who is ill; she has some autoimmune disease, but that's tricky to cure, so the family is gathering money to cover her med bills. This is why Sorin decided to leave his job as city watch and instead try his hand at the potentially more lucrative adventuring business. He loves his sister dearly and her wellbeing and health is currently his first priority. The earring he wears is his sister's, so he could always keep her close, so to speak.
He's very zen, calm, quiet and composed, disciplined and polite. He looks up to worthy people and authority figures but being in charge also tickles his fancy. We'll see about that.
Despite his composed behavior, Sorin practically melts in the presence of cute, up to the point of crying when he's really touched. He gets quite embarrassed then.
Sorin can also be something else; I've used his face for a royal assassin or bodyguard, and he has some futuristic refeences if the RP expands into the multiverse. In those settings, he dual-wields a pair of rayguns.
'Sorin' is a Romanian name possibly meaning 'sun', while 'kalos' supposedly means 'handsome' in Greek.
