A brilliant mind of aristocratic heritage living in the great steam age.
A freemason and forensic scientist; Jeremiah hoards knowledge instead of appreciative glances, since he's a hunchback.
His hair is really nice though (and he's very proud of it), and a very pale blond.
He's about thirty years old, but he looks OLDER. Like, with twenty years at least. Those sunken eyes make a lot of difference.
His ears are slightly pointed, yes, but he's still not an elf. So please don't.
He doesn't really have a distinctive dressing style; he's just a Victorian gentleman, but he's also fond of the Regency look -
especially the stockings (his legs might be short, but they are shapely). He's fond of the color blue, his signature
is a blue morpho. No need to go overboard with his attire, a few of the usual steampunk motifs (gear/cog, wings, key, clock,
cat/dragon eye) will do. Alternately, you can spice his outfit with a little Gothic flavor, or dress him into something Chinese inspired.
Jeremiah definitely looks like an evil mad scientist, but he actually isn't. Sometimes he does act like it, purely for fun, to
rile people up or intimidate them, but in fact, he's a nice, mellow fellow with a fondness for flowers, fluffy animals and the arcane.
He's very lonely actually and can truly appreciate any sort of affection and praise.
((His mother was a Jewish banker's daughter and she, along with her two sisters, married really well. Jeremiah has a cousin with ties
to the police, Solomon Kite, and a weird sort of nephew his aunt's husband adopted after her disappearance, Cassius Clayton. Both of them are my characters.))
Alternately, he can be some sort of fantasy scholar or magic-user, an alchemist perhaps. In those cases, his name morphs into Jereth Arkly.
