Hanyo

Hanyo is a youkai. Technically a general, but he doesn't care much for such formalities.
He looks like a savage beast: tall, well-muscled and hairy. his red-orange hair is sort of unkept, his amber gaze piercing;
he has a scar running down on his right cheek from forehead to the middle of his face, across his eye. It's intact though.
On his shoulders and wrists, he even has patches of honey-blond fur. That's okay tho, 'cause he can change into a huge,
furry beast.
He's old as balls, an excellent fighter. He doesn't even use weapons merely shifts into his beast form and rips opponents apart, or throws ki blasts at them. He does that often.
He's grumpy, snarky and gruff, like low-grit sandpaper. Deep inside however, he's a big old softie and aside being loyal to the youkai realm's queen to his last breath, he genuinely cares for those he likes and would protect them at all cost.
Once, Hanyo came across a young girl named Sumire. She was a healer and helped Hanyo out, hiding him for a few days. Hanyo even had a small crush on her.
Twenty years later, war broke out on the youkai plane and Hanyo set out to ask for the healer's help again. Much to his displeasure, he had to learn that Sumire died and her daughter Hara didn't appear to be especially cooperating, despite being a healer just like her mother. Hanyo simply threw her on his shoulder and marched off.
The story continued with much snarking, screaming, bickering and saving each other's lives repeatedly, finally ending in Hanyo and Hara sorta hooking up.
