A very intentional Mary-Sue. Like SRSLY, her background is ridiculous. She's a child of an ISO and a Basic, so she's like SUPER UNIQUE. Her parents were killed and CLU took her in, keeping her as his daughter. ((Later, she was supposed to be part of an AU we intended to do, and there, CLU coded E-CO himself, putting her together from bits of coding he scraped together. Naturally, it didn't really work, because CLU can't code, so E-CO was unstable and eventually crashed, but her disk remained so Flynn was able to rebuild her.)) E-CO is totes loyal to CLU and works as sort of a spy for him. She's also a renowned singer and dancer and throws awesome concerts now and then.

Cheery, upbeat and seemingly clueless, up until the point when the secret agent surfaces in her - then she can be observed being cold, cruel, mean and 100% loyal to the regime. Briefly, anyway, because the observer at this point is probably being dragged away by the Blackguards.

Her idol persona is a complete airhead, a cocktease and a bit of a whore - if that concept is applicable in the digital world. She'd sleep with anybody, including his adoptive 'dad'. This completely disguises a cunning manipulator who'll expose the 'enemies of the system' and get rid of them - never staining her own hands with their pixels.

E-CO is a big actress, able to fit into every situation and she's cute so everybody loves her. Until the Blackguards drag them off to the Games, that is.
